HISTORICAL NOTE
Ernesto Codignola lived in this apartment, (born in Genoa in the second half of the 19th century), a great intellectual of the early 20th century and founder of the publishing house "La Nuova Italia", founded in this very apartment. With his wife Codignola he founded the "Pestalozzi City School" in the Santa Croce district which is still active today and has marked a point of reference in the Italian education sector. So it is certain that people like Luigi Russo (who was director of the magazine La Nuova Italia) and presumably the greatest Italian intellectuals, both of the early twentieth century and of the fervent post-war years, frequented this apartment.

THE APARTMENT
The apartment is reached from a splendid corridor, with a pink marble floor.

Even if it is a two-room unit, the presence of 3 large French windows (2 in the hall and one in the bedroom) that give access to the large terrace that extends for the entire length of the unit, give the rooms light.
